Pirates end season with loss at Coastal Bend College

BEEVILLE - The Victoria College Pirates ended their inaugural National Junior College Athletic Association season with a 109-79 Region XIV loss to the Coastal Bend College Cougars.

Jacob Brown (San Marcos) made 6-of-10 shots from 3-point range and finished with 35 points for the Pirates, who ended the season with a 0-24 overall record and 0-19 mark in Region XIV play. Kenyatis Turner (Corpus Christi King) added 18 points, Mikael Garza (Lubbock Coronado) had 12 and Larryon Forde (Savannah, Ga.) finished with 10.

Coastal Bend College improved to 11-17 and 5-13.
