The top-ranked Ranger College Rangers spoiled the Victoria College Pirates' home opener Wednesday by taking a 106-60 victorya at VC's Sports Center.
VC, which fell to 0-3 on the season, was led by Brycen Thomas (Humble) and Kenyatis Turner (Corpus Christi King), who each had 18 points. Jacob Brown (San Marcos) followed with 10 points.
Ranger College (8-0) was led by Mark Mayle's game-high 29 points.
The Pirates return to action Saturday by hosting Bossier Parish Community College (3-2) at 2 p.m.
