CORSICANA - Despite a game-high 36 points from Jacob Brown (San Marcos), the Victoria College Pirates fell 98-64 to the Navarro College Bulldogs in a Region XIV men's basketball game Wednesday night.

The loss dropped the Pirates to 0-10 overall and 0-6 in Region XIV play. Lucas DeLeon (Corpus Christi John Paul II) added 11 points for VC.

Navarro College improved to 10-7 and 4-2.

Victoria College, competing in the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association for the first season, will return to Region XIV action Saturday when it hosts Tyler Junior College at 2 p.m.
