Victoria College adds Columbus standout to volleyball team

Victoria College added the fifth member to its inaugural National Junior College Athletic Association volleyball team Friday with the signing of Columbus outside hitter Ryndee Weishuhn.

The 6-foot Weishuhn was an All-District 28-3A selection last season and was named to the Texas Sports Writer's Association Class 3A all-state second team.

"I am very excited to continue my volleyball career here at VC and keep playing," Weishuhn said. "It's exciting to know I will be a part of the first team at VC to play in the NJCAA."

Victoria College will make its NJCAA debut at home on Aug. 22 against Wharton County Junior College.
