Laredo College downs Pirates in three sets

The Victoria College Pirates were defeated 25-17, 25-18, 25-22 in a Region XIV match Friday night at VC's Sports Center.

The loss dropped VC to 7-11 overall and 0-3 in Region XIV play, while Laredo College improved to 19-6 and 2-1.

Ryndee Weishuhn (Columbus) had seven kiills and Pilar Garcia (Pasadena Memorial) added six for the Pirates. Valerie De La Fuente (Mission Veterans Memorial) had 13 assists and Marianna Romero (San Antonio Warren) and Garcia each tallied 12 digs.
