VC’s Weishuhn, De La Fuente earn All-Region XIV honors

Victoria College's Ryndee Weishuhn and Valerie De La Fuente earned honorable mention on the All-Region XIV Volleyball Team released recently.

Weishuhn, a freshman outside hitter from Columbus, led the Pirates with 192 kills and 2.46 kills per set. She also had 37 blocks, 43 digs and six service aces on the season.

De La Fuente, a freshman setter from Mission Veterans Memorial, topped VC in assists with 343 and 4.34 per set. She also recorded 204 digs and 13 service aces.

The Pirates finished their first National Junior College Athletic Association season with a 7-17 record and 0-9 mark in Region XIV matches.
